Happy Easter

We had a great Easter at our house!!

The Easter Bunny visited the babies!!

 Reese Enjoying her basket

 I think she approved!!

 Macy Checking out her basket

And of course eating her M&M's before breakfast!!

They both got new matching Easter dresses, so of course I wanted to get a picture of them together.............. attempt #1

 Attempt #2

Attempt #3 (I guess this one will have to do)!!!

The individual pics went a little smoother!!
Here is our sweet Macy girl.

 We sure love this girl!!

And here are a few of our sweet baby Reese!

We are so blessed to have these little girls!!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter!!

We are Back!

We are back!!!! We have been out of commission over here for the past few weeks, our sweet babies got..................... RSV!?!?!?! To add insult to injury Reese also got a double ear infection and Macy had an infection in her chest, they were both so so so so so sick!! Then mom and dad got sick also, so we had two sick parents taking care of two sick babies, NO FUN!!! Our house was full of humidifiers, antibiotics, boxes of tissues and smelled like cough drops and Vick's vapor rub!! We spent a lot of time snuggling sick babies, sleeping and letting the girls sit in the bathtub (that was the one thing they enjoyed so we spent a lot of time in there)!! But we are finally back from the dead and everyone is FINALLY feeling better!!! And because we are obsessed over these babies we have to put some pictures up!

Macy LOVES to help me with the laundry, and push all the buttons to start the washer and the dryer. She also likes to watch the washer and dryer when they are going so she is always asking me to hold her up so she can see the clothes spin. The other day she figure her baby doll also wanted to watch the washing machine spin, so she held baby doll up and kept saying "look at it baby"!!

She is such a little mom with her baby doll, reading her books and putting her down for naps, it is so fun to watch!!

And like always baby Reese just being as can be!

 LOVE this cheesy smile!!

She thinks she is a big girl these days and insists on holding her own drinks!

They love playing in the bath together, and Macy thinks it is fun to sit on Reese's lap........ good thing Reese thinks it is fun too!!

Things I Have Really Tried from Pinterest!!

I am trying to get better at not just pinning stuff on Pinterest, but actually "DOING IT", I know what a concept!! Anyway here are a few things I have tried this week:

Fun Toddler Lunch
{idea found here}
I am sure I am not the only one with a picky toddler, I feel like sometimes she eats NOTHING all day! So when I saw this idea on Pinterest I know I had to give it a shot!! Take an ice cube tray and fill it with lots of different little foods to give your toddler a variety and something new and fun!!

In her tray I put goldfish, little cheese puffs, grapes cut in half, cheese (in two spots because she does LOVE cheese), little pieces of ham rolled up and some raisins!! You can tell from this picture that she enjoyed it, I didn't even have time to snap two pics before she had her little hands in it!!! This was a hit and we will definitely be doing this more!!

The next thing I tried were these
 Breakfast Cookies
1.5 Cups of oats
2-3 Over ripe bananas
1 Cup applesauce
Handful of Crasisins
Cinnamon to taste
Mix all ingredients together and drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 35 min.

Here is my review:
*When I mixed all my ingredients together I found the mixture to be WAY to wet so I added about 1/4 cup   more oats.
*I took my cookies out about 4 min. early and probably should have taken them out a bit sooner.
*They are good, I could definitely see eating them for breakfast.
*They are VERY filling
* However if you are making them to get your sweet tooth fix (like chocolate chip cookies) this is not going to work, they are more of a hearty, fruity bar then a super sweet cookie.
*you could really add anything you want (chocolate chips, sunflower seeds, raisins, possibilities are endless)!

(on Pinterest it was just a picture with a recipe, no original source, so if anyone knows where it came from I would love to give them credit)!!

HERE IS TO ACTUALLY TRYING THE THINGS I PIN!!!

Suprise Birthday Party

This past weekend we had a surprise birthday party for my wonderful mother in law, and I was put in charge of decorations. I thought I would share my decorations with you, and maybe get your creative juices flowing!!

I wanted really simple, really cute center pieces. I decided to use mason jars I already had, i covered them in two different patterns of scrap book paper and then tied a bow around the jar (bow made from jute string)

All five of the jars finished!

Then I needed something to put in my jars, so I found a tutorial on Pinterest for these flowers made out of different colored napkins!
{tutorial found here}

All put together!!

Here is the table at the party all put together! I made the pom poms hanging from the ceiling out of tissue paper. The table cloth: (this is such a cool idea) you can call your local newspaper and buy the end of a newspaper real, the real cost $3 and the kids LOVED IT because they could color on it (and there is a TON of paper on it, I will be using it for a LONG time)!!

I also cut out flowers to put all over the table and mini cupcake papers filled with jelly beans for the middle of the flowers (looked SOOOOO cute, and also kept little kids and little hands entertained)!!
{Idea found here}

Close up of my flowers and jelly beans!

 {tutorial found here}
I also made this Happy Birthday banner, it was a little time consuming, but ended up really cute (and can be used time after time)!!!

Cute cake table (again covered in newspaper)

And of course I have to trow in some cute pics of my babies at grandmas birthday day
(don't mind my husband yawning in the back round, Reese's smile was to cute not to post this pic, sorry hunny)!!!

Cute baby and cute hubby!

And our cute Macy girl!! She was so excited all day that it was grandmas "birfday party"

Here she had just finished asking if it was time for cake yet, (we had just got there)!!!

Pictures I forgot to take:
* One of my whole family (I need to get better at stepping out in front of the camera once in a while)!!
* One of the birthday grandma (really i just need to get better at taking pictures)!!

8 Months

Our little Reese turned 8 months old this week!!! We love this girl so much and feel so blessed to have her as a part of our family!

She is happy ALL the time!
She has two little bottom teeth!
She is rolling all over the place now and is rocking back up on her knees, we think she will take off crawling any day now.
She still has yet to meet a food she doesn't like.
She say's "dada dada" but only for dad, she won't do it for me!
She LOVES her big sister, and loves to watch her all day long!

This is her in her little dress after church today, I can't believe she already fits in this dress (it used to be Macy's)
HAPPY 8 MONTHS REESE, WE SURE LOVE YOU!!!

Just for fun here are both the girls in the same dress on the same bench!!

Happy Sunday

Yes only two days ago there was a few inches of snow on the ground, but today we woke up to a beautiful sunny 65 degree day!! We had a great day at church and both of our babies looked too cute to not take a few pictures (I also wanted to document that every once in a while we DO get dressed)!!

Macy girl with her classic "smile" when I try and take pictures of her, oh well she is still cute!!

Maybe one day she will give me a real smile! :)

Reese is ALWAYS this happy, such a fun little girl!!

We sure are lucky to have these two little girls!

A little Advice

I am kind of embarrassed it took me this long to figure it out but hopefully it helps some other moms out there!! ORDER YOUR FORMULA ONLINE!! We go through formula really fast around here and found ourselves going to Costco multiple times a month to keep up our stock. Here is my problem with Costco, I LOVE it but most of the time find myself leaving with WAY more then I came in for, so going a few times a month was getting expensive!! One night we decided to see if we could order it on line and found out you can order a case (or three cans) WOOOOOHOOOO!!! Now every time we open the last can we just hop online and order our next case and it shows up on our doorstep a few days later!! This makes me one happy momma!!
