Adventures of the Farm House!

Sunday we had another exciting experience in our little farm house. The door knob has been getting progressively harder to open and it finally gave out on Sunday! Levi and I took a short Sunday nap and then got ready to go to my mom and dads house for dinner, when we went to open the door.............nothing happened, you could twist the door knob both ways but it would just spin and not open then door. So what to do, well we have another door at the front of our house that we never use so we decided we would just use that door until we get the other door knob fixed, oh wait................remember when we had a little ear wig problem earlier this summer, well there was a little crack at the top of the front door they were coming thru so we decided (since we never use that door) to foam seal it so no more earwigs could get in thru the front door! Now we really had a predicament, and if we didn't figure something out we were going to be late for dinner! We were in a crunch and decided we would just use the bedroom window for the door, and before I knew it Levi and I were jumping out the bedroom window to get out of our house! Good thing the house wasn't on fire! When we got home Sunday night Levi took the door knob off and we stuffed a rag in the hole to keep the cold out and used the deadbolt to keep the door shut! The next day Levi got a new door knob and put it on, so we know have at least ONE working door!!

The door with the rag stuffed where a door knob should be!

The other door that is FOAM SEALED shut!

Our bedroom window we finally jumped out of, that blue thing is the recycle bin we had to use to get back in the house (the window is higher then it looks)!
