VACATION!!!

This week was originally going to be the week that I was going to go to the Dominican Republic. Well because of some complications the trip fell through. I had already asked for the two weeks off of work so I kept one week off and Levi and I decided to plan a little (very much needed) family vacation. We decided to go to Jackson Hole Wy. for three days and then stay one night at Levi's brother and sister in laws house and then the next night stay at his sister and brother in laws house. The last two weeks have felt like the longest two weeks ever waiting to get the heck out of Boise for a few days, well the time finally came and we are officially on VACATION!!
Yesterday we left our house at about 9am and were on the road by 10:45am. It took us about 6 hours to get to Jackson (faster then we thought). We dumped or stuff in the hotel and took off to check out the town. I really enjoy it here. We decided to eat dinner at a place called Town Square Tavern (yes a bar) only because it had a cool place you could sit and eat on the roof. When we sat down at the table our waitress came up and asked us if she could get us anything to drink we said sure we will have coke, she looked at us for a min. like..... you came to a bar to order ........coke?.........."okay "she said slowly "I will be right back". Ha ha it was kinda funny!! After dinner we walked around the town a little more, and found a very interesting pair of under where displayed in a store window (picture to come) I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!! When we were done walking we went to the store and got cereal and milk for the morning and some ice cream. We went back to the hotel to watch movies and eat ice cream!! Not a bad first day of vacation!!!
Today we decided we wanted to take a drive and check out some of Teton National Park and Jackson Lake (both about 30 min. away). So we thought we would jut go on a nice early afternoon drive. When we got to out first stop, Colter Bay, (part of Jackson lake) we deiced to "go a little further". We then went to a resort called Flagg Ranch, they had a little restaurant so we ate some lunch there. Our waiter was SOOOOOOOOOOO bad, so when we left Levi gave him a 1$ tip............. HOW RUDE!!!!! (it was kinda funny though because he was really really bad)On a better note the food was pretty good!!! Then we decided since we were already this Far we should "go a little further" and check out Yellowstone. The drive was so pretty, some of the most beautiful sights you will ever see!! We got to Yellow stone and decided we had already come this far and we were too close to Old Faithful to not see it so we went "a little further" and went to Old Faithful. On the way I was reading the Pamphlet about Old Faithful and it said that it has been know to go off every 40 to 126 minutes. So we really had no ides if we were actually going to see it go off or not. We got there at 2:50 and Old Faithful went off at about 3:15, we couldn't have timed it better if we tried it was perfect and so so so amazing to watch!!! When it was over we went tit he little club house and got a little ice cream and then started our journey back to Jackson. We stopped a few times on the way back to take some pictures. By the time we got back it was 6:30 at night, our short afternoon drive turned into an all day adventure, it was fine with us though because we had an absolute BLAST!!! Tonight we got dressed up and went to a really nice restaurant called the Silver Dollar it was such a nice place and the food was AMAZING we highly recommend it if you ever come to Jackson! Well that is all of our adventures as of late more to come!!
