We are Back!

We are back!!!! We have been out of commission over here for the past few weeks, our sweet babies got..................... RSV!?!?!?! To add insult to injury Reese also got a double ear infection and Macy had an infection in her chest, they were both so so so so so sick!! Then mom and dad got sick also, so we had two sick parents taking care of two sick babies, NO FUN!!! Our house was full of humidifiers, antibiotics, boxes of tissues and smelled like cough drops and Vick's vapor rub!! We spent a lot of time snuggling sick babies, sleeping and letting the girls sit in the bathtub (that was the one thing they enjoyed so we spent a lot of time in there)!! But we are finally back from the dead and everyone is FINALLY feeling better!!! And because we are obsessed over these babies we have to put some pictures up!

 Macy LOVES to help me with the laundry, and push all the buttons to start the washer and the dryer. She also likes to watch the washer and dryer when they are going so she is always asking me to hold her up so she can see the clothes spin. The other day she figure her baby doll also wanted to watch the washing machine spin, so she held baby doll up and kept saying "look at it baby"!!

 She is such a little mom with her baby doll, reading her books and putting her down for naps, it is so fun to watch!!

 And like always baby Reese just being as can be!

They love playing in the bath together, and Macy thinks it is fun to sit on Reese's lap........ good thing Reese thinks it is fun too!!

8 Months

Our little Reese turned 8 months old this week!!! We love this girl so much and feel so blessed to have her as a part of our family!

 She is happy ALL the time!
She has two little bottom teeth!

She is rolling all over the place now and is rocking back up on her knees, we think she will take off crawling any day now. 

She still has yet to meet a food she doesn't like.

She say's "dada dada" but only for dad, she won't do it for me!

She LOVES her big sister, and loves to watch her all day long!

Happy Sunday

Yes only two days ago there was a few inches of snow on the ground, but today we woke up to a beautiful sunny 65 degree day!! We had a great day at church and both of our babies looked too cute to not take a few pictures (I also wanted to document that every once in a while we DO get dressed)!!

My Mornings

I get to spend my mornings with these two, and I wouldn't change it for the world!!!

 Reese is soooooo happy in the mornings (well actually she is happy most of the time, but especially in the morning). This is one of her favorite things to do, sit with her toy basket so she can get her own toys and chew on the strings on the basket!

 She also got tooth number two this week!
Here is a little confession and I HOPE it is normal, if my girls wake up and their P.J.'s are still clean and we are not going anywhere that day I let them stay in their P.J.'s................ ALL DAY, normal or not????

 We are seriously in love with this chubby girl and her happy personality!!

 Daddy got this puppy stuffed animal for Macy this weekend, and they have been inseparable ever since. Puppy has to go to bed with her and play with her and sit on the couch and watch Caillou (which is her FAVORITE show right now) with her in the morning.

This little girl is growing and changing so much everyday. I have decided I need to make a little book and keep it in easy reach so when she says funny things I can write them down so I won't forget them, she is always saying little things that crack us up!! We play a little game with her where we put our thumb between our fingers and pretend we have taken her nose and then pretend to eat it (I am pretty sure every kid plays this game), anyway today she was at the table eating breakfast and I was feeding Reese her breakfast, she noticed I wasn't eating and asked me if I was hungry, I said I was but I would eat after I fed Reese, She looked at me and said "mommy do you want to eat my nose"? Hahaha I thought that was sooo funny, definitely going in the book when I make it!!

Through the Eyes of my Two Year Old

The other day I was trying to take some pictures really fast for my blog, but Macy thought it was MUCH more important that SHE have the camera and take pictures! This is one of those things every once in a while might annoy me, I would think "holy cow just let me take these pictures and be done with it already"! (I hope I am not the only one who thinks things like this when I am trying to get stuff done with a toddler around)! But this day I thought, whats the harm, so I showed her what button to push and let her have at it! She walked around the house for probably 30 min. maybe more saying "say cheese", she would point it at the coffee table or the wall or her toys and say "say cheese toys"!!
She had so much fun, and now even thou it might sound silly I kind of treasure these pictures. One of my goals this year is to try and stop more and be present in the moment with my babies, and to enjoy more of the little things. This one little thing, handing Macy the camera, brought her so much joy and every time she took a picture she would run over to me with a huge smile on her face and say "see mommy, I did it"!! Enjoy the small things!!!

Another BIG Week!

OK I know I have some catching up to do, and I think pictures will tell the story better then I will, so get ready for a picture overload and enjoy!!

 She has sooooo much more fun in the tub now that she can sit up and play with her big sister, and I seriously CAN NOT get over all those delicious rolls or hers!!

 She is such a happy baby, she smiles and plays and jibber jabbers ALL day long!

 The other night I gave her her bottle just to see if she could hold it and she did it like a pro...... I then proceeded to take it away from her and hold her to feed her (I want her to stay my baby so i am going to feed her as long as she lets me)!!!

 My wonderfully talented sister in law delivered once again, she took 6 month pics of Reese and I am in love with them!! This little girls nick name is chunky, I seriously don't know ho you could look at this pic and not want to squish her and kiss her all day long!! (I sure do)!! To put it in perspective we weighed her the other day and she currently weighs 22.5 pounds................. Macy who is 18 moths older weighs 25 pounds!! We love every little pound thou so we are not complaining!!

 And one more beautiful picture!! Reese has another big thing that happened this week...... SHE GOT HER FIRST TOOTH!!! The left little bottom tooth popped up last Tuesday, and if this tooth is any indication of how all of her teething will go I may have another excellent teether on my hands, no fever, no crying NOTHING..........AWESOME!!!!

 Another big event in our house this week, up until last Monday Macy was still sleeping in her crib and Reese was sleeping in the pack and play because she had long outgrown the bassinet!! We decided it was time to move Macy to her big girl bed and let Reese FINALLY have the crib!! This is Reese getting ready to take her first nap in the crib, she wasn't sure what to do with all the extra space!!

 This is Macy taking her first nap in her big girl bed!! I thought that for a few days I was not going to get any sleep and that I was going to have a grumpy girl who was not getting any sleep because the transition would be hard on her. Well Monday afternoon at nap time I took her up to her room and sat on her big girl bed with her and told her that because she was a big girl now she got to sleep in her big girl bed, and that is was going to be so exciting, I looked at her and said are you so excited? and she said "oh yes mommy, I so excited!!" She fell asleep right away and was so excited that night when she got to sleep in her big girl bed again, she has been doing it like a pro ever since, and now when she looks at her old crib she says "mommy this is Reese's night night". It was seriously the easiest transition we have had this far!!

 We love our Macy girl but she is growing up too fast!! Her vocabulary is growing like wildfire, it is so fun to actually have a conversation with her and her her to be able to tell me what she wants or needs, and she is always saying the funniest things that crack us up! She LOVES to color and play with stickers and play with play dough.

 It is really strange for me to see a picture of Reese with a binkey because she is not a binkey baby, but she is not sucking on it she likes to use them as chew toys!

 Macy is really into watching Calliou these days and one episode is about a magician showing all the kids at a birthday party how to do a magic trick, so this is a picture of Macy showing us her magic trick that we get to see probably 100 times a day!!

This is how Macy decided to lay this morning to watch Calliou!! We sure love this girl!
